Ella's Last Day of Pre-K

Ella had an awesome school year. I was so hesitant to send her to pre-k because her birthday is later in the year, but she did really well. She has grown so much and loves learning. Her teachers were fantastic, and she made really good friends. It's bitter sweet switching to a new school district when we move!

Memorial Day parade, cute family, and allergies

Ella and Delainey love feeding Sicily a bottle. Sometimes I hold the bottle with my chin if I need to do something with my hands while feeding Sicily. Ella does it, too now, which is so cute.

Sicily is eating more foods than she has in the past, but refuses baby food. My friend told me to put it in her bottle and mix it with the coconut milk. I'm happy to report that is worked like a charm!

This is happening quite often as we try new foods:

Darn hives! At this point Sicily has had reactions to kiwi (which was in a baby food medley with bananas and pears), dairy, soy, goat's milk, pecans/peanuts/pistachios (she found one of the 3 of these on the floor in the kitchen and had a reaction. We couldn't tell which one it was!), and eggs. What CAN she eat? I don't even know anymore. She sometimes eats avocado. She likes oyster crackers, graham crackers, and Ritz crackers. And anything else she can find on the floor.

Delainey loves to have her pictures taken these days. She's quite the poser.

I love him.

Our town does 1 parade a year, and it's on Memorial Day. It's a fun tradition to go and clap, and cheer on Mathieu's step-grandpa who still marches the entire parade uphill at 86 (and he does 20 pushups every morning...). Ella's little friend Leland from school came with his family and they sat with us. Ella always says she wants to marry him.

Delainey is starting to like getting her hair done. She'll sometimes ask, "Mommy, can you do cute girls haiw styles?". This is one we found on their website.

I LOOOOVE this picture of Delainey.

And little Miss Sis can have her hair done now, too!

Mug Shots

My brother Mike got my girls into doing "Mug faces". Mean mug, happy mug, sad mug...it's one of our tools for distraction during tantrums. Ella wanted a Mug Photo Shoot today (note to Granny: "Mug": another word for face).

Cute girls' hairstyles

We subscribe to Cute Girls' Hairstyles. We love it. My girls ask to watch the tutorial videos instead of movies. We get most of our ideas for hair from that website, as well as Ella's creativity. I don't think I'm great at hair, and I'm definitely not extraordinary when it comes to skill, but doing hair along with the videos really helps. Ella learned to braid from watching those videos. I was so surprised when she showed me she could do it! After all, she's only
4 1/2!

Ella loves her cousins. She talks about them all the time.

Happy 1st Birthday Sicily Anne!

Hello?! Has it really been a whole year already? I hate that time is flying with my kids. Sicily is such a blessing. She's happy and smiley, cuddly and laughs a lot. She loves playing with her sisters, walking along things, and putting everything in her mouth. She makes me so happy, and everyone else. Love my girl!

These first 2 pictures were taken by my SIL, Elizabeth Graham, CEO of EA Photography. I HIGHLY recommend her.

Happy birthday Sweet Angel!!!!

Delainey Mae is THREE!!!

Delainey's birthday was a week ago. I love my cuddly, sweet, "faiwy" loving, story telling, loud screaming 3 year old. I love laughing with her, singing with her, and watching her take care of her babies. Happy birthday Delainey!

Delainey and Illy had a joint birthday party at a local gymnastics place. It was fun. Overpriced, but fun. Delainey got lots of wonderful gifts and was so happy.

I know it looks like I'm helping the kids play in the "pit", but in reality I was totally stuck in that very spot. Foam is harder to walk in than sand! Luckily I have the strongest husband in the world and he was able to pull me out.

This is our friend, Benson. He and his parents just moved away to DC. We're so sad! After we said bye to them for the last time, Delainey said, "Mommy. I'm going to mawwy Benthon when he gwows up." Yes, please.
