Ella and Delainey love feeding Sicily a bottle. Sometimes I hold the bottle with my chin if I need to do something with my hands while feeding Sicily. Ella does it, too now, which is so cute.
Sicily is eating more foods than she has in the past, but refuses baby food. My friend told me to put it in her bottle and mix it with the coconut milk. I'm happy to report that is worked like a charm!
This is happening quite often as we try new foods:
Darn hives! At this point Sicily has had reactions to kiwi (which was in a baby food medley with bananas and pears), dairy, soy, goat's milk, pecans/peanuts/pistachios (she found one of the 3 of these on the floor in the kitchen and had a reaction. We couldn't tell which one it was!), and eggs. What CAN she eat? I don't even know anymore. She sometimes eats avocado. She likes oyster crackers, graham crackers, and Ritz crackers. And anything else she can find on the floor.
Delainey loves to have her pictures taken these days. She's quite the poser.
I love him.
Our town does 1 parade a year, and it's on Memorial Day. It's a fun tradition to go and clap, and cheer on Mathieu's step-grandpa who still marches the entire parade uphill at 86 (and he does 20 pushups every morning...). Ella's little friend Leland from school came with his family and they sat with us. Ella always says she wants to marry him.
Delainey is starting to like getting her hair done. She'll sometimes ask, "Mommy, can you do cute girls haiw styles?". This is one we found on their website.
I LOOOOVE this picture of Delainey.
And little Miss Sis can have her hair done now, too!
The girls' 2 new favorite songs are:

You ARE a cute family! I love checking in on you! Kenya has allergies to all tree nuts, including coconut, sunflower seeds (these are nuts most people don't think of) AND peanuts. Plus cats, dogs, and all kinds of trees and plants. GRRR! Thankfully she is probably my most conscientious child when it comes to that kind of stuff and whenever we eat foods she's not familiar with or homemade that I didn't prepare, she's either checking the label or asking the person who made it! She's had a epi pen since I can't even remember, but thank goodness we have never used it. I hope that continues to be the case....Nut allergies, in my opinion, are the scariest of all allergies and while other food allergies and such can be outgrown, not nuts. Good luck on your quest to see what works for cute little Sicily. She's so lucky to have you as her mom. :)
